Is most of the snow melted in the area like it is in Columbus?
In the hocking hills the roads are clean and free from any snow! On the surface most snow is melted unless its in a shaded area!
Each trail is different but the ones that have gorges most likely still have snow.
If you go to the trails with gorges the snow may still be in the caves and lower gorges. Because the Gorges go down below the surface the temperature down there is a lot colder so sometimes the snow lasts longer. As of Sunday there was snow on the trails and it was slippery out still. If you decide to go please wear appropriate hiking gear!
I would highly recommend Old Man’s Cave if you are hoping to hike in the snow.
Thank you so very much!
